What do you put at the bottom of your email?

Hopefully you put your name !

But what else do you supply?

An email address so that people do not have to use the reply button
A phone number – it might save someone time hunting around for it
Your website – especially if people can click through to it
Your blog – you have spent a lot of time writing it so advertise it.
Your social media links such as twitter, facebook and LinkedIn if you use them

Isn’t the aim to make it as easy as possible for potential customers to get in touch with you easily in the way that suits them?

What do you think? What would you add or what would you leave out?

Would you add a phrase about not printing the email? Is it still necessary?

For those of you who were not at the Antidote last night, and may wonder why there has been such interest in this blog, the speaker, Graham Jones the Internet Psychologist
( ) spoke on “How to guarantee website success”.

This included why social media (blogging, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc) are essential for marketing for both large and small businesses. This confirmed the advice that we were given by Gill Keeble of S3 Web Design in Great Yarmouth over a year ago ( ).

By using social media we have managed to get the Research Plus+ website ( ) on page one of Google searches for “Research Norwich” for most of the time.

Graham gave a practical no nonsense presentation on this critical subject. Thanks go to Nial, Roy, Chris and Steve for organising the event ( ) . Who will they have speaking next month?

Following the advice last night, what have you done today to promote your business using social media?
